Getting your bond refund
We want to make sure your bond refund process is as smooth as possible. Keep your Australian bank account open to avoid any delays with your bond refund.
1. Wait for an email from the RTBA
Once the departure inspection has been completed by Iglu, you will receive an email with a link from the Residential Tenancies Bond Authority (RTBA).
2. Confirm your bond refund
Review the details and confirm your bond refund. The link will expire in 14 days, so be sure to complete this step within this time.
3. Ensure your refund details are correct
Refunds will be processed by the RTBA to your nominated Australian bank account. If you are overseas and do not have an Australian bank account, RTBA can issue a cheque for deposit in an overseas bank.
4. Timing for refund
The processing time for bond refunds to an Australian bank account is approximately 2-4 weeks from the end date of your tenancy agreement.
